Where does Vindhya Cultural Association (VCA) spend the money it collects in memberships, entrance and registration?  Here are some main categories of expenses involved in conducting VCA events:
  • Artist Fees (for Music Festival only) : $1600 / event
  • Facility Rental and Custodian Expenses : $600 - $1200 / event
  • Insurance : $600 / year
  • Awards (for competitions) : $600 / event
  • Food : $500 / event
  • Equipment purchase / maintenance : $200 / year
  • Judge Expenses (for competitions) : $100 - $200 / event
  • Banners / Advertisements / Stage Decorations : $100 / year
  • Certificates : $100 / event
Overall, a given event costs anywhere from $2000 - $5000.  

There are no personnel expenses for Vindhya since it is run by volunteers at no cost to the organization.
